Carolina Wholesale announces new toner and ink recycling program
April 13, 2010, Charlotte, NC – In Carolina Wholesale’s continued commitment to discourage environmental waste, they have introduced the Green Cartridge Recycling program available immediately to their network of office machines dealers and resellers. This new program encourages resellers to recycle their empty toner and inkjet cartridges for cash refunds without incurring any additional charges.
“Printers and the toner and ink supplies that are required to run them are necessary in today’s business world,” states Larry Huneycutt, President of Carolina Wholesale. “This program will encourage our dealers to recycle their used toners and develop programs with their customers to recycle these products for cash credit.” Dealers participating in the program will each be provided access to a dedicated website for the program in which they can order boxes that will be provided to them free of charge. Dealers return these boxes filled with their empty cartridges to Carolina Wholesale’s recycling center free of charge and will be provided cash refunds. Empty cartridge values are provided on the website so dealers can identify the value of their cartridges prior to ordering boxes. All recycled toner and inkjet products returned to Carolina Wholesale through this program are over 99% recycled through ISO14001 and ISO9001 certified facilities.
“Creating incentive for Carolina Wholesale dealers and their customers to return used consumables instead of throwing them into a landfill is good for them and all of us” adds Mr. Huneycutt. “Today’s economic climate has strained many business owners supply purchasing for their existing printers or copiers. We hope this program provides a little in return to offset the replacement cost associated with new cartridges and provides piece of mind from an environmental perspective.”
